Chess Club Tournament Winners!!
All 30 of our students participated in
our 2nd Annual LBA Chess Tournament! Although not everyone can be
winners, everyone had a great time and gave their best efforts with the
skills they have acquired this year. Here are our top four winners for
this year:
1st Place: Drew Brown
2nd Place: Samuel Cramer
3rd Place: Camden Wallace
4th Place: Josiah Pokopac
Congratulations Drew, and to all of our place winners and participants for a great time.
Students in the chess club learn not only about the game itself but
also about the importance of good sportsmanship and treating one
another with respect. Win or lose, students are admonished to shake
hands and acknowledge a game well played. Chess is a great game for
cultivating skills in concentration, logic and problem solving. A
special thanks to all of the parents who have sacrificed their time and
energy to make the LBA Chess Club a reality!Our beloved friend & Kindergarten teacher
