Do you provide lunches?
Aramark School Support Services provides our hot lunches. The prices are $2.25 for a regular lunch, and $3.40 for a large lunch (two main items). Juice or milk will be available everyday for 35˘. Aramark offers two alternate entrées: a fresh deli sandwich or chef salad served with a side of the fruit of the day.
LBA utilizes Renaissance Learning’s Accelerated Reader (AR) and Star Early Literacy programs which enrich our students’ reading experience. Accelerated Reader is an incentive program to encourage students to read outside of the classroom. It is an exciting and challenging program that also provides both teachers and parents with individual diagnostic reports through computer-based assessments that identify a student’s zone of proximal development (reading level range). The Early Literacy portion of the program is especially designed to assess young children’s emerging reading skills including phonemic awareness and vocabulary. This is not a reading textbook and does not replace daily reading instruction in the classroom.
