Student Activities - Athletics

"And whatever you do, whether

in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord

Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."                                                                                                                                                                                              (Colossians 3:17)

Liberty Bible Academy recognizes the role an athletic program can play in the life of the school. Some students can be reached more easily through athletics than in a classroom situation, making an athletic program a unique ministry. Biblical perspectives may be taught to student athletes through the challenges, encounters, and situations found in competition. Athletics teaches intensity, diligence, dependability, patience, and other Christ-like qualities.

All LBA students have a weekly class in physical education and experience many sports such as soccer, basketball, football, baseball and tennis. Students learn not only the rules of the game, but those of good sportsmanship as well.

The objectives of the Liberty Bible Academy athletics program include developing our athletes so that God is honored in all aspects of their lives as they:
  • serve others by helping their teammates and team succeed
  • are effective witnesses on and off the field/court
  • fully utilize their God-given abilities
  • realize the consequences of a work ethic
  • make sound decisions under pressure
  • handle conflict, deal with success, and cope with disappointment
LBA measures winning by a different standard - not just on the scoreboard but in the hearts of the coach and the student athletes.
